PTMS March 25-28

PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone had a great weekend.  This is a 4-day week with an early dismissal on Thursday, March 28th as we head into Spring Break.  Although it is a short week, we have a lot of great things going on in our school during these 4-days.

-The PTMS RTI Interventionists look forward to beginning services in Math and ELA with students identified through our data analysis process.  All students needing services received a letter on Thursday or Friday.  We look forward to supporting these students in their continuous academic growth.

-This Wednesday, PTMS welcomes Denee Angelo from the Salem County Sheriff's Department to present an assembly on Anti-Bullying and provide steps to take to support one another in and out of school.  Our goal has been and will continue to support our students and provide strategies to create a safe, nurturing, and respectful school community at PTMS.

-PTMS will participate in a fun spirit week as we head into Spring Break.  See the flyer below to see each day's theme so you don't miss out!

On Monday and Tuesday, all of our PTMS Wildcats will be taking their final Reading and Mathematics NWEA Map Assessment.  We encourage all of our Wildcats to do their best to showcase their knowledge.  These results will be used by our classroom teachers to support instruction as well as determine students in need of support for our final round of RTI services.

Also, this week will be the PTMS Book Fair Monday-Friday.  There will also be evening hours for parents on Tuesday.  A previous email was sent to all parents email on file via PowerSchool outlining this information.  We look forward to seeing our Wildcats immerse themselves in a book of their choosing.

PTMS March 4-7

PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that you all enjoyed your weekend.  This week is a shortened 4-day week for students as the district will be closed on Friday, March 8th for our county-wide in-service.  Our 8th-grade students will have an opportunity this week to meet with the high school counselors for assistance with final course selection as they prepare for the next phase in their educational journey.

PTMS will administer the final NWEA MAP Spring Testing round from Monday, March 11-Tuesday, March 12.  We encourage all of our Wildcats to try their best on these two assessments as this data is used by your teachers to inform instruction and will assist with RTI placement.

The PTMS Book Fair is also scheduled for March 11-15th.  We look forward to having this back at PTMS to allow our students to purchase a book that meets their interests.

Mark your calendars, the PTMS Drama Club will be showcasing their talents on Thursday, March 21st at 6:30pm.  Come on out to PTMS to support these talented Wildcats as they showcase their abilities!

PTMS February 26-March 1

PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  This Friday, March 1, will mark the mid-point for the third marking period.  Wildcats, as we continue our academic journey, we want to remind each of you about the importance of modeling positive behavior and hard work in and out of the classroom. Your behavior sets the tone for the entire learning environment. Be sure to show respect to your teachers, classmates, and school property.

As we finish the remainder of the school year, challenge yourself to excel in your classes by completing your assignments on time, studying diligently, and asking for help when needed. Remember, your efforts now will shape your future. We are all here to support you!

PTMS February 20-23

PTMS Wildcats,

We hope everyone enjoyed their extended weekend.  Last week, our students and staff showed their school spirit throughout the week in our daily themes leading up to Wildcats Wildness.  Our grade levels did a great job coming together to celebrate our school and its teams for each event. Grade 6 won in our grade 5 vs. 6 competition and grade 8 won in our grade 7 vs. 8 competition. Wildcats, let's carry this energy forward into everything we do, both in and out of the classroom. Let's continue to support each other, lift each other up, and strive for excellence in all that we do.

Looking ahead to this week, we will have our second marking period Honor Roll Breakfast to celebrate the outstanding academic achievements of our students. This event is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and perseverance demonstrated by these exceptional individuals. The Honor Roll Breakfast will occur on Thursday (Grades 5-6) and Friday (Grades 7-8. During this event, we will recognize students who have achieved Superintendent and Principal's list.
