PTMS February 28-March 1

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  We are now heading into March for the 2021-22 school year.  Spring and longer days of sunlight are just around the corner!  With that in mind, we want to remind all of our Wildcats to remain focused on their school work and behavior.  We, at PTMS, will continue to provide support to our students throughout the day.  We are asking parents and guardians to remind their child(ren) about being respectful to their peers.  Our school can maintain a safe and productive environment for each and every student when all students are accepting of one another.  This includes when interacting on electronics in school and out.  We look forward to growing each one of our students for the remaining four months of school!

PTMS February 22-25

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their 4-day weekend.  We have now completed 100 school days for the 2021-22 school year.  Also, last week we celebrated our Week of Kindness in which we had a daily theme to promote kindness around the school.  Students had access to a Google Form to highlight a Random Act of Kindness.  The form had 45 responses which highlighted random acts of kindness around PTMS.

As we head into the final 80-days, we are asking parents and guardians to please talk with your child about cell phones, smart watches, and other devices.  Pittsgrove Township Middle School and District recognize the importance of communication and collaboration.  Each student is provided a device to be productive in the classroom.  To keep the focus on academics and reduce unnecessary distractions, Pittsgrove Township Middle School has a no cellphone and other device policy in place.  All devices are to be away and turned off during the school day.  If a parent or guardian need to get a hold of their child, please call the school and we will provide the message to your child.  We also have a phone in the main office for students to use to call parents/guardians as needed.  We thank everyone for their cooperation with this procedure.

PTMS February 14-17

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  Our upcoming week may be short but is full of excitement.  This week is "Random Acts of Kindness Week at PTMS."  Each day will have a daily theme for everyone to take part in to promote kindness around PTMS.  Also, Thursday, February 17th is the 100th day of school for the 2021-22 school year.  We challenge all of our students to think of something that you can now do that 100 days ago was a challenge.  How can you use this new information to help you for the remaining 80 days of school?

PTMS February 7-11

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.  We have reached the halfway point and have finished the second marking period for the 2021-22 school year.  To celebrate everyone's hard work, we had our second Wildcat Wildness on Friday, February 4.  In the competitions between grades 5-6, it was grade 6 who came out victorious and held onto the grade level trophy.  In our competitions between grades 7-8, it was grade 8 who came out victorious and held onto the grade level trophy.  We thank our Physical Education Department for their hard work in organizing the event for everyone to enjoy.  The games were exciting and our students did a great job of showing good sportsmanship.  We look forward to starting marking period 3 together!

As a reminder to all of our students, make sure to continue turning in your work on time, attend Z.A.P. for extra support, reach out to your teachers if you need help, and continue to make positive choices in our school.  We are now halfway through our school year, what will you work harder at in the second half of the year?  How will you reach your goal(s)?  We believe in you!
