PTMS December 30-January 3

PTMS Wildcats,
Our final week of 2019 provided PTMS with a chance to celebrate many accomplishments before our break.  During the final week, our school acknowledged students who achieved honor roll, our Teacher of the Year (Mrs. Golden) and Educational Service Professional (Mrs. Leone), the Holiday Concert, the end of RTI Cycle 1, the selection of groups of RTI Cycle 2, our Renaissance movie celebration, and more!
We hope that everyone has enjoyed their holiday break to this point.  This is a great time to recharge, rest, spend time with family/friends, and set goals for the remaining 6 months of the school year and beyond.  Here is a video about setting goals and knocking them off.  What are your 2020 goals?  What will you do once you achieve some of them?

PTMS December 16-20

PTMS Wildcats,

We had a busy week at PTMS.  It is hard to believe that in one week we are going to be on our winter break.  This past week all of our students took the second round of their MAP Assessment in Math and Language Arts during our Thrive period.  Our RTI Interventionist will be analyzing this data to create our groups for the second cycle of RTI.  On Wednesday, we had our 1st Holiday Family Fun Night.  Families were able to participate in various activities including coloring, games, selfies, escape room, food tasting, and more while learning about other culture's holiday traditions.

This upcoming week looks to be an exciting week as well as we close out the 2019 year.  Starting on Monday, we will be implementing school-wide character education lessons to enhance our student's knowledge on how to create a positive school community, respect, justice, citizenship, and responsibility for self and others.  We are looking forward to continuing to help our students thrive in between our school walls and beyond.  Also, we will have brief assemblies to acknowledge our students who achieved honor roll for the first marking period, a magic show, student caroling, and more!

PTMS December 9-13

PTMS Wildcats,
This past week provided some closure to our first cycle of RTI Intervention services and the first trimester for our Exploratory classes.  On Friday, we mailed out the student data to parents to see their child's growth during our first cycle of RTI.  On Friday, students began the second trimester with a new exploratory class.  Also, on Friday we had our yearly holiday dance with over 230 students in attendance.  The dance was a great way to end another week at PTMS.

This was our winning entry for the Wildcat Wildness T-Shirt Contest.  It was done by Caleb Jenkins, 6th grade.

We look forward to seeing this image on all of our shirts.  Great job everyone who participated.
