PTMS January 29-February 2

PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  We have a lot going on at PTMS this week.

On Tuesday, students in grades 6-8 will be provided information on how they can join the spring PTMS track team.  This is a great opportunity to be a part of a team and participate in an event showcasing your track and field ability as well as make new friends.

Thursday, February 1, marks the midway point for the 2023-24 school year.  In addition, this marks the end of the second marking period.  Wildcats, log in to PowerSchool so you can continue to monitor your progress as well as submit any work that is not past the due date.

Do you know your Trivia?  Well then come out to PTMS on Thursday for our 2nd annual family trivia night and see if your team can take home the prize as 2024 Champion.  Any questions, please email Ms. Hetzell at khetzell@pittsgrove.net.

PTMS January 22-26

PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  As we head into the final two weeks of the second marking period, we want to remind all of our Wildcats to finish strong.  This is a crucial time to reflect on your efforts, celebrate your achievements, and address any challenges you may have encountered. Remember, success is not always about perfection but about the progress you've made. Take pride in the hard work you've put into your studies, projects, and assignments. If you find areas where you can improve, use this opportunity to set realistic goals and work towards them.

Here are a few tips to help you finish the marking period on a positive note:

  1. Time Management: Plan your time wisely to ensure you complete all assignments and projects on time. Create a schedule and stick to it.

  2. Seek Help: If you're struggling with any subject or topic, don't hesitate to seek help from your teachers, classmates, or the resources available to you. Collaboration can lead to a better understanding of the material.

  3. Stay Organized: Keep your study materials, notes, and assignments organized. A well-organized space can contribute to a focused and productive study environment.

  4. Healthy Habits: Make sure to get enough sleep, eat well, and take breaks. Taking care of your physical and mental well-being is crucial for academic success.

  5. Set Realistic Goals: Break down larger tasks into smaller, manageable goals. Celebrate small victories along the way to stay motivated.

  6. Review and Reflect: Take some time to review what you've learned so far. Reflect on your strengths and areas for improvement. Use this insight to guide your future efforts.

Remember, it's okay to ask for support when you need it. We believe in your potential and are here to help you succeed. Finish the marking period with confidence and a sense of accomplishment.

PTMS January 16-19

PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their 3-day weekend.  This past Thursday, PTMS hosted Detective Seargent Santamaria from the New Jersey State Police.  During his presentations, he talked with our Wildcats about internet safety, the steps to be safe, and how to report content that is not appropriate.  Detective Seargent Sanatamria took time after the two grade-level presentations to talk with our PTMS Student News Studio and share some of his background with our students.  We continue to thank our law enforcement for being present in our schools and providing educational tips for our students to help make them successful global citizens.

Also, on Friday, our 8th-grade students had their Semi Formal dance.  Our 8th-grade Wildcats were dressed to impress and thoroughly enjoyed themselves during the event.  We thank our PTMS team and the parent/guardian volunteers for your help in creating such a successful night!

This week our 5th-grade students will have an assembly on recycling provided by Pittsgrove Township.  The Illusion Maker’s Environmental program presents the "True or False" A Magical Environmental Quiz Show at your school!  PTMS Welcomes Magician David James to PTMS.

Also, this week, our 5th-grade students will begin their LEAD (Law Enforcement Against Drugs) program.  This program is delivered by the Salem County Sheriff's Department's Ms. Deness Angelo.  PTMS looks forward to having Ms. Angelo work with our 5th-grade students over the next few months and continuing to educate our Wildcats.

PTMS January 2-5

PTMS Wildcats,

Happy New Year and welcome back to the second half of the 2023-24 school year.  We hope all of our Wildcats enjoyed the time around the holidays with family and friends.

As we head into the second half of the 2023-24 school year, we encourage all of our Wildcats to use some time to reflect on the first half of the school year.  What are some things that you did well and should continue?  What are some things that you would like to work on a little more to improve?  What are your goals for 2024?  How can we help you meet your goals?  All of us at PTMS look forward to seeing you continue to reach your potential during the second half of the school year.  We have a lot of fun activities that will take place during the remainder of the school year.  Stay tuned!
