PTMS March 29-April 1

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope everyone enjoyed our 2nd Wildcat Wildness this school year.  Waldo wants to thank all of our competitors for their sportsmanship and hard work in all of the competitions.  He also wants to send a thank you to our Physical Education teachers, Mrs. Eberl, Mr. Carr, and Ms. Lower for their organization of the events, our MC Mrs. Bucolo, for our behind the scenes organizer/technician, Mrs. Kirschner-Stabile, and all of our teachers for helping our students throughout the events.  We look forward to our next event!!!!

Speaking of our next event, we are in the process of preparing our WaWa gift cards, balloons, and P.R.I.D.E. Grams.  On Wednesday, April 14, we will be having our virtual assembly to select 100 students for showing their P.R.I.D.E. this school year to receive these awards.

This week is Spring Spirit Week.  Here is the flyer to participate.

PTMS March 22-26

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and the Spring weather!  We are proud to announce the successful implementation of "The Next Phase" at PTMS.  Our amazing teachers continued the high-level instruction and followed safety protocols to support our students and further continue their learning.  Our Wildcats did a great job of following the safety procedures and directions to keep everyone safe.  In addition, our students were excited to be in school 5-days a week with their friends!  Mr. Hudson had this to say about "The Next Phase" at PTMS, "Our students and teaching team did a great job in preparing and executing The Next Phase this past week.  I have never been more proud to be a part of this amazing school and district where we have the most dedicated staff.  I continue to be inspired by how hard everyone is working together."  We are looking forward to week two of "The Next Phase" this week at PTMS.  Just a reminder, all-virtual students should be tuning in daily to live lessons.  Also, for additional support, all PTMS Teachers have office hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 1-3pm.  Wednesday is by teacher appointment.

PTMS March 15-19

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and the extra sunlight.  If you have not done so by now, make sure you set your clock forward one hour.

This week we will start the "Next Phase" at PTMS.  Students in Cohort D will be coming to school 5-days a week on an early dismissal schedule.  Lunch will be available for take-home as previously done.  All classes will be live-streamed!  Students in Cohort C are expected to tune in daily for the live instruction during their classes.  Also, this Friday marks the end of trimester two in our Exploratory Classes.  Students are reminded to finish all work as teachers will be finalizing all grades in these classes.

March PRIDE Grams-This is a reminder to students that all PTMS faculty and staff are looking to highlight students who are showcasing their PRIDE for our next student incentive.  Keep up the great work!

Chromebook Update

Students in Grades 5 and 7 will be getting their new Chromebooks this week if the permission slip is returned with parent/guardian signature and student signature.  Permission slips will be going out on Monday, March 15.

Have a great week!

PTMS March 8-12

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope everyone had a great weekend.  Our next student incentive is officially underway.  Over the next few weeks, all PTMS Faculty and Staff will be acknowledging students who show their P.R.I.D.E. (Patience, Respect, Integrity, Diligence, and Empathy).  Below is a breakdown of the meaning of each word.  For this incentive, we will be selecting 100 student winners on Wednesday, April 14th.  Each winner will receive their certificate, a Wawa gift card, balloons, and a personal visit from a PTMS Staff Member!  Also, a reminder that this week we do not have school on Friday, March 12.

Patience-the ability to remain calm when dealing with problems, situations, people who may not do things the way you think they should be done.

Respect-is also an act of giving attention or showing care.

Integrity-doing the right thing even when no one is looking.

Diligence-constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken; persistent exertion of body or mind.

Empathy-base of tolerance and compassion and kindness.
