PTMS January 30-February 3

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  Thank you to our NJHS and the Vineland YMCA for creating such a fantastic Family Fun and Wellness Night last week.  All of our guests could participate in dancing, coloring, games, Nurf battle, healthy snacks, and more throughout the school.

We look forward to working together in the future to create another memorable night for our students and school community.  

We have now reached the midpoint for the 2022-23 school year.  As we head into the final 90 days of school, we want to remind our Wildcats that grades, attendance, and positive behavior are three of the main ingredients to being successful in school.  The second half of the year is going to be filled with exciting events, trips, and other activities in which we want everyone to participate.

PTMS January 23-27

 PTMS Wildcats,

     We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  This Wednesday, the Vineland YMCA will be joining our National Junior Honor Society to host a Family Fun and Wellness Night.  Do you want to sharpen your basketball skills? Learn how to Kickbox? How about participating in Nerf Wars? The Vineland YMCA will run activities for grades 5-8 at PTMS. Take the challenge and have fun with your friends! Please refer to the flyer that was emailed out for more information.

      This Friday, January 27, will mark the end of the second marking period and midpoint for the 2022-23 school year.  We are encouraging all of our Wildcats to use this as a checkpoint to evaluate your progress.  What are you doing well and will continue?  How can you use your strength and apply it to an area that you would like to improve?  What goal(s) are you setting for the second half of the school year?  How will you reach those goals?  What can you improve?  Everyone at PTMS is here to help you achieve your goals and support you in being successful.

PTMS January 17-20

 PTMS Wildcats,

     We hope that everyone enjoyed their 3-day weekend.  We are now 9-days away from the end of marking period two and the midway point for the 2022-23 school year.  As a reminder, all students should be logging in to their PowerSchool account to check their grades and assignments for each class.  Also, students can attend Z.A.P. daily to study or work on assignments for each oof their classes.  The display case has been updated with the Renaissance prizes that you can earn for your hard work in the second marking period.  In addition, we will be having our second marking period honor breakfast after the marking period.  Wildcats, be sure to finish marking period two on a positive note!          

     Our 8th-grade Semi Formal was a huge success.  Our cafeteria was decorated as a Winter Wonderland with various backdrops, ballons, and other festive decorations.  The students from the 8th-grade class that attended enjoyed pizza, hot chocolate station with various add-ons, snacks, drinks, and dancing.  Thank you to the PTMS staff and parents who worked together to make an amazing night for our 8th-grade class of 2023!

PTMS January 9-13

 PTMS Wildcats, 

   We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  Over the past week at PTMS, our staff and students were able to share some of the great things that took place over the winter break as we began the second half of the school year.  In addition, students were reminded of rules, procedures, and expectations that will assist with their success in school.  We look forward to working with our Wildcats for the remainder of the school year!  

Chromebook Updates...  

We have seen an increase in students forgetting to bring their Chromebooks as well as chargers to school, Chromebooks coming to school not charged, and Chromebooks not secured in the provided carrying case.  Below are a few reminders to ensure you are prepared for each day of school.  

-Make sure to charge your Chromebooks each night to prepare for the next day of school. 

-Bring your charger to school each day in your carrying case.  This will help in the event you need to charge your Chromebook while you are at school. 

-Keep your Chromebook in their carrying case at all times.

-Do not place any pencils, pens, food, or other items in the carrying case with your Chromebook.  This often leads to the Chromebook getting damaged.

 PTMS Wildcats, 

  Happy New Year!  We hope that everyone had a safe and happy holiday season.  All of us at PTMS are looking forward to getting back to school and starting the second half of the school year.  We have about a month left in our second marking period.  This is plenty of time to make academic progress in all of your classes.  All of the staff at PTMS are here to help you in achieving your goals in the second half.  We look forward to seeing you all back at PTMS and finishing the remainder of the school year together!
