PTMS February 17-21

PTMS Wildcats,

  We had a great week at PTMS.  Our 8th-Grade students were able to see our Schalick High School Performing Arts Presentation. Students assisted in making signs for our upcoming Cocoa Cabaret, practiced the scientific method, presented on ancient pirates, continued to enhance their photography skills, posted artwork around the school, became 100 days smarter, and more.  We are looking forward to seeing our Wildcats Thrive in the reaming 4 months of school.  Stay Tuned!!

PTMS February 10-14

PTMS Wildcats,
 We had a great week at PTMS.  Throughout the week, the students and staff thanked our school guidance counselors Mrs. Botto and Mrs. Ford for their hard work.  On Friday our students received their report cards for the second marking period and were able to participate in our Valentine's Dance.  We are looking forward to this Thursday, February 13th as it is our 100 day of school.

PTMS February 3-7

PTMS Wildcats,

  It is hard to believe that we are halfway through the 2020-2021 school year.  This past week we completed our 90th Day of School.  We are looking forward to watching our Wildcats grow and achieve over the remaining 90 days.  On Friday, our district took part in our Wellness Professional Development.  During our day, we were able to take part in numerous workshops focused on instruction/curriculum, wellness, self-care, and more.  Our PTMS staff thoroughly enjoyed our day.  We are looking forward to beginning the second half of the school year.

     We had an inspiring week at PTMS.  We were able to see some of our future Scientists in action during our Science Fair!  We will release our video highlight in the near future so stay tuned!  We are equally excited that our PTMS Wildcat Wildness shirts arrived, which were designed by our students!  See some of the highlights from around the school below, including students learning about the Holocaust, student-created comic strips, the spreading of kindness, college fair, upcoming Renaissance fundraiser, a sneak peek of our upcoming Wizard of Oz play, and more...

PTMS Wildcats,
   We had another great week at PTMS.  Our 8th-Grade students were working hard to finish their Science Fair projects in preparation for our upcoming Science Fair this Wednesday.  Special thank you to the following staff members for their hard work in preparation for the Science Fair...
Mrs. MacNeill, Mrs. Wendell, Mrs. Conroy, Mr. McCarson, Mrs. Hetzell, Mrs. Nelson, Mr. Hall, Mrs. Pecsi, Mr. Schalick, Mrs. Leone,  and Mrs. Leonard.  This Wednesday will be a special day for our student scientists to display their projects.
  In addition, our drama students were hard at work in preparing for our spring showing of The Wizard of the Oz.  There will no place like home to watch this play.  You are going to have to see this performance live.

PTMS January 13-17

PTMS Wildcats,

    We completed our first full week of school in the year 2020.  Having a full week of engaging instruction provided time for our students to participate in engaging activities such as creating amusement parks rides, using the scientific method to understand the spreading of germs, graphing points in quadrants of a coordinate plane to solve real-world math problems, learning how to solve multi-step equations, escaping the room activity, measuring vital signs, working as a team to play melon ball, understanding how to identify fact vs. opinion, implementing final touches on Science Fair Projects, and more!  We are off to an amazing start in the new year with more to come.  Stay tuned!

PTMS January 6-10

PTMS Wildcats,
  We had a short week back to start in the year 2020.  However, this provided time to reestablish routines and get back into the swing of things in our classrooms and in preparation for the upcoming full week of school.  During the two days we were in school, students were sharing out about their break, setting goals for the remainder of the school year, and reconnecting with their teachers and peers.  We are looking forward to our upcoming full week of school!
