PTMS February 8-11

 PTMS Wildcats,

This past week started off on Monday with our district-wide Professional Development Day which offered a variety of sessions for all district employees that focused on wellness.  Tuesday brought us our first real snow storm in a few years!  On Thursday we had our first day back of in-person instruction since December.  The students, teachers, and administration worked together to return back to our routine.  The building was filled with excitement and energy as we were all able to see Cohort B and D in-person.  To finish the week off, we had a first virtual assembly in which we rewarded 80 students with a large cheese pizza delivered to their house right on the spot by our local police department and members of our PTMS Team for their participation in their Google Meets!  This coming week, we are looking forward to seeing Cohort A return to in-person instruction.

A special message from Waldo the Wildcat....stay tuned PTMS Wildcats for another incentive...

PTMS February 1-5

 PTMS Wildcats,

We have reached the halfway point of the school year.  Friday marked the 90th-day of the school year.  What is one thing you are proud of that you accomplished in the first half of the school year?  What is one thing you will look to accomplish in the remaining 90-days of the school year?

A reminder that this week we resume in-person instruction on Tuesday.  All students who are home are expected to join the live instruction.  We look forward to having our Wildcats back at PTMS ready to work on the homestretch of the school year.  Also, this Friday is our big day.  Waldo The Wildcat will be drawing 60 students' names out of a hat for their personal pizza delivery.  Waldo was able to get into multiple Google Meets last week and see who was present.  Good luck and we look forward to seeing everyone in our virtual assembly on Friday.  The link to the assembly will be emailed to each student.

PTMS January 25-29

 PTMS Wildcats,

We are in the final full week of the second marking period.  The marking period officially ends on Monday, February 1.  Make sure to check your Google Classrooms, PowerSchool, and with your teachers to submit any work that is still due.  Be sure to continue taking advantage of teacher's office hours in the afternoon.  This is a great time to work with your teacher in a small setting and receive extra support, catch up on work, and have your questions answered.

Pizza update-Waldo has been busy working with your teachers to see who has been on their Google Meets and Zoom lessons.  He is really excited to see which 60 students will be selected to have a pizza delivered to their house.  Keep up the great work!

PTMS January 19-22

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope you all enjoyed your extended weekend.  As you know our virtual learning is extended until Tuesday, February 2.  Make sure you continue to attend the live sessions, participate, and complete your work.

Mark your calendars Wildcats!!  Waldo the Wildcat is hosting an assembly on Friday, February 5.  This assembly will be virtual and will start at 1:30pm.  During this assembly, Waldo the Wildcat will randomly select 60 students who have been attending and participating in their Google Meets to receive a large cheese pizza delivered to their house.  That's right! We will select 60 students at random and deliver a pizza to your door after the assembly!  More information will be coming out soon!  Stay tuned!

PTMS January 11-15

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone had a great transition back into our virtual learning.  This past week students and staff were hard at work in re-establishing routines, completing work, attending live sessions, and more.  Our Wildcats are learning additional skills that each of them should be proud of mastering.  Such skills include navigating a Chromebook, websites, and other platforms for their work, managing digital organization, balancing/maintaining a schedule, participating in online discussions/breakout rooms, and more.  While this year has presented us all with numerous challenges, we are all learning different skills that will make us more diverse for years to come!  Keep up the great work everyone!

PTMS January 4-8

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope everyone had a relaxing winter break.  With a new year upon us, you may find yourself creating goals that you look to achieve.  The best way to achieve goals is to write them down and look at them periodically to make sure you are making progress towards achieving them.  Another idea is to have an accountability partner.  Who is the person that you will share your goal with that will hold you accountable for achieving your goal?  No matter your goal, you can achieve it by staying committed.  The best feeling is accomplishing a goal that takes a lot of hard work.  So, what is your goal?
