PTMS January 8-12

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  As we head into our first full week back from our winter break, we want to remind students of the importance of maintaining their focus on their academics.  Wildcats, make sure you take advantage of using ZAP, attend/join homework club, be on time for school, and track your grades/assignments via PowerSchool.  As a reminder, students are expected to be in homeroom by 8:10am.

A look ahead...

-This week on Thursday, January 11, PTMS will host Detective Sergeant Joe Santamaria with the NJ State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit.  He will be meeting with each grade level to discuss internet safety and how to be a responsible digital citizen when using the internet.

-The second marking period is coming to an end on Friday, January 26.

PTMS January 2-5

PTMS Wildcats,

Happy New Year and welcome back to the second half of the 2023-24 school year.  We hope all of our Wildcats enjoyed the time around the holidays with family and friends.

As we head into the second half of the 2023-24 school year, we encourage all of our Wildcats to use some time to reflect on the first half of the school year.  What are some things that you did well and should continue?  What are some things that you would like to work on a little more to improve?  What are your goals for 2024?  How can we help you meet your goals?  All of us at PTMS look forward to seeing you continue to reach your potential during the second half of the school year.  We have a lot of fun activities that will take place during the remainder of the school year.  Stay tuned!

PTMS December 18-22

PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  Last week we had our MP 1 Honor Roll Breakfast.  Congratulations to our Wildcats who made the honor roll during the first marking period.  We are now midway through the second marking period and want to remind all of our Wildcats to continue logging into PowerSchool.  This will allow you to keep track of your grades and assignment due dates.

As we head into our final 5-days before winter break, we want all of the PTMS Wildcats to head into 2024 in style with Waldo's Wacky Holiday Spirit Week.

On behalf of everyone at PTMS, we want to extend happy and healthy holiday wishes to our Wildcats and their families!

PTMS December 11-15

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  We thank all of our parents, guardians, and staff who were able to help support our Student Appreciation Night.  Our Wildcats thoroughly enjoyed their pizza, dancing, game trucks, and time with their friends.

This week, our Wildcats will be taking their winter NWEA Map Testing in math and reading on Monday and Tuesday.  Our RTI Data Team will analyze the results and begin to formulate groups for round 2 of math and reading services to support our students in need.

As we head into the final 10 days before winter break, we want to remind our Wildcats to continue following classroom and school-wide expectations.  In addition, make sure you are turning in your work and taking advantage of ZAP when needed.  We are all here to help!

PTMS November 27-December 1

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their 4-day weekend.  Before our Thanksgiving break, our Wildcats took part in the first Wildcat Wildness event of the school year.  Grade 6 won the competition between grades 5 and 6.  Grade 8 won the competition between grades 7 and 8.

Thank you to all of our parents and guardians who were able to make it to parent/teacher conferences.  We look forward to continuing our work together for your student(s).  As a reminder, PowerSchool is the best way to stay on top of your student's grades in all of their classes.  If you need help with gaining access, please call the school.

As we head into the second marking period, we want to remind all of our Wildcats to remain focused on their academics.  Keep track of your assignments and due dates.  If you are not sure of something, make sure you talk with your teacher.  We are all here to help you be successful!

November 20-22

 PTMS Wildcats,

This week is short and will finish with our first Wildcats Wildness event of the 2023-24 school year.  As a reminder, Monday-Wednesday this week are early dismissal days for all PTMS students.  We will not have after-school clubs due to the early dismissal time.  PTMS will have parent-teacher conferences on Monday night and Tuesday after dismissal.

We look forward to talking with our parents and guardians about their students and how to continue working together.

This Wednesday, November 22, PTMS will have our first Wildcat Wildness event of the school year.  Grades 5 and 6 will compete against one another in one competition.  Grades 7 and 8 will compete in the other grade-level competitions.  Make sure to show your school spirit!
