PTMS May 31-June 3

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their extended weekend!  Last week we had a lot of excitement at PTMS and many of our Wildcats took part in some exciting trips.  Our 7th-grade was able to attend their class trip to Philadlpehia.  The trip featured some site visits around the city and concluded with all of the students, teachers, and chaperones taking a boat ride on the Spririt of Philadelphia for a lunch and dance party. PTMS Renaisance student winners went on a bowling trip and were able to showcase their bowling skills.  The 8th-grade class was introduced to high school sports and what steps to take in order to become a member for one of the teams.

In addition, the PTMS Academic League Team came in second place at the Salem County Finals.  Great job to the students who showcased their academic talents!  Also, our PTMS Drama Club was able to put on their long awaited performance of The Wizard of Oz for two nights.  Our students performers did an outstanding job of bringing Kansas to PTMS.

PTMS May 23-27

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend!  Great job to our teachers and students last week for working so hard to complete our first NJSLA Testing in three years.  We look forward to seeing our student's results in the future!  In addition to testing, we had Mr. Dominque Willliams come to our school and talk to our grade 7-8 students about being positive role models and making good choices as they continue to move into young adulthood.  Also, our 6th-grade students went on their field trip to the Philadelphia Zoo.  All of the students and parents who went on the trip enjoyed themselves.

This week we are looking forward to many great things taking place inside and out of PTMS.  Our 7th-graders will be taking their trip, our Renaissance bowling trip, and our Drama Club put on their performance of The Wizard of Oz.  Our students have been working extremely hard to memorize their lines and are looking forward to showcasing their character for the play!

We hope everyone had a great weekend.   On Fridaay of last week, our 5th-grade students participated in a D.A.R.E.  This week PTMS students will take their NJSLA (New Jersey Student Learning Assessment) in Math and English Language Arts.  Grades 5 and 8 will take the Science assessment as well.  We are encouraging all of our Wildcats to get a good night sleep, bring a charged Chromebook to school, and to do their best!

PTMS April 20-22

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their Spring Break and was able to recharge for the final stretch run of the 2021-22 school year.  Prior to the break, we had our 3rd Wildcat Wildness of the school year.  It was great to see so many smiling faces and friendly competition.  Congratulations to our 5th-grade and 7th-grade students who came out as the overall winner of the grade-level challenges.

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, we want to remind all of our students to remain focused on their academics, grades, and behavior.  The end of the year is full of trips, celebrations, and more.  We want all of our Wildcats to be eligible to participate in all of the end-of-the-year activities.
