PTMS May 1-5

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  We have now reached May for the 2022-23 school year!  This week we look forward to celebrating our students who made the honor roll during the third marking period with a celebratory breakfast.  Thursday, May 4, will be for grades 7-8, and Friday, May 5, will be for grades 5-6.  Congratulations to all our students who earned this achievement during the third marking period!  Keep up the great work!

A look ahead...

PTMS students will be completing our yearly NJSLA State Testing the week of May 8-12.  Wildcats, make sure you get your rest, eat breakfast, and are on time for school.  We encourage you to put forward your best effort to show how much you have learned this school year!

PTMS April 24-28

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  As we move out of April and into May, we all know the weather is getting warmer.  Wildcats, please review the dress code on our school website and make sure you understand what is permitted and what is not while in school.  We want everyone to be comfortable and follow the rules at the same time!

Bring Your Child To Work Day is on Thursday, April 27.  If any student is going with their parent/guardian's place of employment for the day, PTMS will need a letter with the official company letterhead for the absence to be excused.  Handwritten notes will not be accepted.  We hope that any of our Wildcats who participate in this day enjoy themselves!

PTMS April 17-21

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  Grades for the third marking period have been finalized and can be found in your PowerSchool account.  We look forward to acknowledging our Wildcats who made the Principal or Superintendent's list for the third marking period at our honor roll breakfast.

Last week, PTMS hosted our future Wildcats and provided a tour, an amazing video created by our Studio Production Team featuring an overview of the day in the life of a middle schooler, a meet and greet photo with Waldo the Wildcat, and more!  We look forward to seeing these Wildcats full-time in the fall!

PTMS April 11-14

PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their break!  Prior to the break, PTMS hosted the third Wildcat Wildness of the school year.  Grade 6 and grade 8 won in their respective competitions that were themed around the 80s and 90s.  Starting tomorrow, PTMS will begin the final marking period of the 2022-23 school year.  As a reminder to all students, we want to remind all of our students to remain focused on their academics and finish the school year strong.  The fourth and final marking period provides another opportunity to improve on your previous three marking periods.  Also, the end of the year is full of trips, field-day, and other activities, so make sure you continue to follow our school-wide rules.  We do not want anyone to miss out on the fun!

PTMS March 27-31

PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  Last week our Wildcats did a great job and had some fun taking part in the various daily school spirit days.  We are already looking forward to the next one!  Our RTI Data Team finalized our groups for the final cycle for the 2022-23 school year.  We look forward to seeing all of our students make progress during this round of intervention.  We want to thank APSHS for inviting our 8th-grade students to their career fair last week.  Our Wildcats were able to visit over 40 tables and learn about future careers and opportunities.

This week our Student Council has organized Bus Safety Week.  Our PTSD transportation department will be providing a brief assembly for each grade level on safety, rules, and other important information.  We thank all of our bus drivers and aides for their service to the district and for keeping all of our students safe during their rides!

Mark your calendars Wildcats!  Our third Wildcat Wildness is on Thursday, April 6!  More information will be coming out this week!

PTMS March 20-24

 PTMS Wildcats,

We hope that everyone enjoyed their weekend.  We are finished with our NWEA Testing for the 2022-23 school year.  Over the next few days, our data team will be analyzing the results and will begin to select students in need of additional support in Language Arts and Mathematics.  Any student who is chosen for the third cycle will be provided a letter by the end of the week.

Congratulations again to the newest Pittsgrove Township Middle School National Junior Honor Society members!  We look forward to continuing to watch you showcase your leadership in the school and community.

This week we will be having a Spirit Week.  We look forward to seeing all of our Wildcats showcase their school spirit!  Also, on Thursday, our 8th-grade students will take part in a career fair at our high school.  As our 8th-grade class begins to prepare for high school and beyond, we hope that this event will provide an opportunity for our students to talk to professionals who are already working in various fields.
