PTMS September 9-13

    PTMS Wildcats,

We had a great first 3-days to our 2019-2020 school year.  Everyone worked together to lay the foundation for a successful school year.  The students had an assembly to review school rules, activities, and other important information for the school year.  Each teacher took the time to explain classroom procedures and created activities to develop a better understanding of our students as well as their learning style(s).  We are on our way to great things this year at PTMS.  Below are some highlights from some of the amazing activities from around the school.

What will you be this year?

Students diligently work on escaping the room! This room requires the discovery of the components of quality work, discovering important locations, exploring the syllabus, emphasizes the importance of following directions, problem-solving and collaboration and last but not least focuses on a growth mindset!

Mrs. Hetzell’s class worked on a “Science About Me” activity, drawing connections between the science topics that they will be learning about this year and their own lives. This included information such as inherited traits and learned behaviors, the type of weather that describes their mood most often, their favorite use of electricity, among other things. Students even conducted some quick research to identify the phase of the moon on the day they were born!
