PTMS October 7-11

PTMS Wildcats,

We had a great start to our new RTI/Thrive period.  Our PTMS staff has worked extremely hard in preparation for this new framework.  The students are really excited about their Thrive period and are enjoying their learning path.  Below is a list of comments from our students when talking about Thrive.
-"It's going awesome, we are learning teamwork skills."
-"I like the quiet and learning how to get better at reading."
-"I am glad we are not doing packets.  The teachers are connecting with us."
-"I like it, the class is going to help me get started with my career."
-"I like it because I love learning about money."
-"I love it, I didn't know that coding was so easy."
-"This is a fun class, it is a great way to start the day."
-"I truly feel that the tech production studio is an overall delight to be in."
-"I love that we are doing hands-on projects based on a story we read."
-"I am excited that we are doing service projects in small groups."
-"Thrive is the best thing ever because it does not involve homework."

This new framework is truly allowing every student to be challenged and have their individual skills enhanced to increase learning as well as achievement.  We are looking forward to seeing all of our students continue to Thrive at PTMS in all of their classes.

 * Reminder that immunizations are due. If your child goes to the Doctor's for a physical, please bring a copy of their report to keep in your child's records at school.

 * Not nearly as nice as pumpkin spice, Flu season is upon us.  Please take advantage of the local flu clinics to receive your free flu shot.

* Remember to tell your child to never share their hat or comb or lice may make their head a home.  Please monitor your child's head if you noticing itching. Fall is also the season where we see a rise in the cases of lice.
